Sandeep Lamichhane has completed a decade in international cricket, marking 10 years since his Nepal debut against Namibia in the ICC World Cricket League Championship in 2016.
Over that period, he has grown from a teenage legspinner into one of the most influential cricketers Nepal has produced. His numbers alone place him among the country's greats: 66 ODIs and 135 wickets, 72 T20Is and 130 wickets, 168 T20 matches and 243 wickets, and 90 List A matches with 181 wickets.
But the bigger story is that Sandeep's career is not only defined by Nepal milestones. It is also reflected in the global record books. In ODI cricket, he is listed as the fastest to 100 wickets, reaching the mark in just 42 matches. His 6 for 11 is ranked as the second-best bowling analysis in an ODI innings, and his ODI bowling average of 19.93 places him sixth on the career list. He also holds the record for the most consecutive four-wicket hauls in ODIs with three.
His T20I record is just as striking. Sandeep is second-fastest to 100 wickets in T20Is, getting there in 54 matches. He is third on the list for most lbw wickets in T20 internationals with 22, while his T20I bowling strike rate of 12.5 is ranked eighth among the best career marks. His 5-wicket haul in a losing cause is also ranked second-best in T20I history in that category.
