Nepal's men's cricket team continued their preparations for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 in style, defeating MCA President XI by 48 runs in their second practice T20 match on Saturday in Mumbai.
Decided to bat first, Nepal posted a strong 183/5 in 20 overs. Aarif Sheikh anchored the innings superbly, finishing 66 off 42 balls*, while Sandeep Jora (31), Aasif Sheikh (25) and Gulshan Jha (23) provided key contributions to take the total past 180.
In reply, MCA President XI were restricted to 135/8 in 20 overs while chasing 184. Ishan Mulchandani top-scored with 47, but Nepal's attack kept taking wickets at regular intervals to shut the door on the chase.
Leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane starred with the ball, picking up three wickets. Gulshan Jha and Lalit Rajbanshi claimed two wickets each, while Karan KC chipped in with one as Nepal completed another convincing warm-up win.
Nepal had also won the first practice match against the same opposition, after previously losing a warm-up series 2–1 in Sri Lanka.

Nepal will now travel to Chennai for two more warm-up matches:
The T20 World Cup begins on February 7, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. Nepal open their campaign on February 8 against England, before facing Italy (Feb 12), West Indies (Feb 15) and Scotland (Feb 17).
