The Cricket Association of Nepal has announced its latest central contract lists, expanding the pool to 38 men’s players and 25 women’s players.
The major change in the men's structure is the addition of Category A+. Captain Rohit Paudel, Dipendra Singh Airee and Sandeep Lamichhane have been placed in the new top category.
CAN has fixed the monthly salary for men’s Category A+ players at Rs 120,000. Men's Category A players will receive Rs 100,000 per month, Category B players Rs 75,000, Category C players Rs 55,000, and Development category players Rs 35,000.
Aasif Sheikh, Karan KC, Kushal Bhurtel and Sompal Kami are in Category A. Aarif Sheikh, Bhim Sharki, Gulshan Jha, Lalit Rajbanshi and Nandan Yadav have been listed in Category B.
Category C includes Anil Shah, Arjun Kumal, Basir Ahamad, Binod Bhandari, Hemant Dhami, Ishan Pandey, Kushal Malla, Lokesh Bam, Shahab Alam, Sher Malla and Sundeep Jora.
CAN has also named 15 players in the men’s Development category. Arjun Gharti, Arjun Saud, Aakash Chand, Bipin Khatri, Deepak Dumre, Dev Khanal, Narayan Joshi, Pawan Sarraf, Rashid Khan, Rijan Dhakal, Santosh Yadav, Trit Raj Das, Yuvaraj Khatri, Sagar Dhakal and Pratish GC are included.
In the women’s list, Indu Barma, Puja Mahato, Rubina Chhetri and Sita Rana Magar have been placed in Category A.
Women’s Category A players will receive Rs 55,000 per month. Category B players will receive Rs 40,000, Category C players Rs 30,000, and Development category players Rs 25,000.
Kabita Kunwar, Manisha Upadhyaya and Samjhana Khadka are in Category B. Bindu Rawal, Kabita Joshi, Riya Sharma and Rubi Poddar are in Category C.
The women’s Development category includes Anu Kadayat, Ashmina Karmacharya, Ishwori Bist, Kajal Shrestha, Laxmi Saud, Mamta Chaudhari, Rachana Chaudhary, Roma Thapa, Sabitri Dhami, Sana Praveen, Seemana KC, Sony Pakhrin, Suman Bist and Yashoda Bist.
CAN has also confirmed match fees for both men’s and women’s national players. Players will receive Rs 10,000 per T20I and Rs 15,000 per ODI.
The latest list is wider than CAN's 2025 contracts, when 33 men and 19 women received central contracts. In 2024, CAN had awarded contracts to 30 men and 19 women.
