The Nepal Premier League (NPL) has pulled off a blockbuster signing!
South African legend Faf du Plessis has officially joined Biratnagar Kings for the upcoming season of the Siddhartha Bank NPL, powered by Ncell.
The franchise confirmed the signing through its official Facebook page, unveiling a stunning promotional poster featuring the veteran South African batting icon alongside the NPL trophy.
Faf du Plessis, one of the modern greats of world cricket, brings a wealth of international experience to Nepal’s premier T20 tournament. The former South Africa captain has represented his country in over 300 international matches, amassing more than 11,000 runs across formats.
He is renowned for his leadership, athletic fielding, and match-winning batting displays for teams such as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL, Joburg Super Kings, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
With this signing, Biratnagar Kings have made a bold statement of intent ahead of the 2025 NPL season. The team, led by one of Nepal’s most passionate fan bases, is expected to benefit immensely from du Plessis’ mentorship and global exposure.
