Harmeet Singh's Six-for powers USA to dominant win over Nepal in Dubai

The United States of America (USA) registered a commanding 106-run victory over Nepal in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 fixture at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday. USA's left-arm spinner Harmeet Singh produced a sensational spell of 6 wickets for 27 runs, guiding his team to an emphatic win after setting a challenging total of 262/6.

After being sent in to bat first by Nepal, the USA built a solid platform led by Smit Patel, who anchored the innings with a well-constructed 75 off 100 balls (9 fours). Middle-order contributions from Saiteja Mukkamalla (42) and Milind Kumar (70 off 50)* propelled the Americans to a competitive total of 262/6 in 50 overs.

Kumar's late flourish, featuring six boundaries and two sixes, helped the USA accelerate in the final overs, adding 91 runs in the last 10 overs.

For Nepal, Sandeep Lamichhane picked up two wickets, but the bowlers struggled to contain the run flow in the death overs.

In reply, Nepal's batting lineup faltered under pressure as Harmeet Singh ran riot with the ball. Only Aasif Sheikh (37) and Dipendra Singh Airee (40) offered some resistance, while the rest of the lineup crumbled against disciplined bowling.

Nepal were bowled out for 156 in 39.1 overs, handing the USA a massive 106-run victory.

Harmeet's spin proved unplayable in the middle overs, claiming six wickets including key dismissals of Rohit Paudel, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, and Sandeep Lamichhane.

Shubham Ranjane (2/32) provided support from the other end, while Saurabh Netravalkar and Rushil Ugarkar chipped in with a wicket apiece.

Nepal will next face the hosts United Arab Emirate in their upcoming fixture of the UAE tri-series.
