In a nerve wracking match Nepal coasted to a thrilling one wicket victory over the hosts Scotland in the second last ball of the last over of the allotted 50 overs in Forthill, Dundee, Scotland.
Player of the match speedster Karan KC hogged the limelight for his outstanding all round performance. Drawing upon his experiences, he displayed solid composure and dogged determination to guide his team to a well earned and very important victory.
After the match, Karan KC spoke to Andrew Leonard and shared his thoughts about the match and his ten-year journey with Nepal team.
"Ah I think it's all about the roles. I think I know my role, I have to finish the game, whatever the target is and I always feel special whenever I get the chance like this. It is always all about my routine, finishing the game by bowling or batting."
"That innings was much more special because that innings helped us to get the ODI status and we played the World Cup Qualifiers as well. I think this inning is also special for me, playing 10 years of cricket for Nepal. You know it is all about experience, how I give my experience to the team. I am very much clear about my role in the team and I am very happy with my innings", Karan said.
"Fans and the supporters of Nepal, they are the best and they always come wherever and whenever we play. They are the special and the heartbeat of Nepali cricket"
"After winning against the hosts, we have to carry the momentum, we'll give our best in next three matches", he further added.
