Nepal A were invited to bat first against Tasmania in the opening match of their three-game one-day series in Australia on Wednesday.
Anil Sah is leading the Nepal A side and will also keep wicket. Nepal have selected a batting order featuring Kushal Bhurtel, Mayan Yadav, Trit Raj Das, Kushal Malla and Lokesh Bam.
Deepak Dumre has also been included, while Pawan Sarraf provides an all-round option. Shahab Alam, Bipin Khatri and Yuvraj Khatri complete Nepal's playing XI.
The fixture is Nepal A's first 50-over match following their participation in the Top End T20 Series in Darwin.
Tasmania are captained by Australian international spinner Matthew Kuhnemann. The hosts have also selected towering fast bowler Billy Stanlake, alongside Will Prestwidge, Raf MacMillan, Kasey Barton and Lachlan Clark.
Tim Ward adds experience to Tasmania’s batting order, while Hugh Thomson will keep wicket.
The longer format provides Nepal’s players with a different challenge after their recent T20 matches. The batters will have more time to construct their innings, while the bowling unit must adapt to the demands of ten-over spells and controlling the middle phase.
The match is the first of three one-day assignments for Nepal ‘A’. They will face South Australia on September 4 before concluding the tour against New Zealand ‘A’ on September 6.
