Nepal A will play three 50-over matches against Tasmania, South Australia and New Zealand A as their tour of Australia continues following the Top End T20 Series.
The three-match one-day programme begins with Nepal A facing Tasmania on Wednesday, September 2.
Nepal A will then meet South Australia on Friday, September 4 before concluding the series against New Zealand A on Sunday, September 6.
All three matches will be streamed live on DGO, providing supporters in Nepal and elsewhere with an opportunity to follow the team’s final assignments in Australia.
The one-day matches form another important part of Nepal’s effort to develop greater depth beneath the senior national team. Facing two established Australian state sides and New Zealand’s second-string national team will expose the players to strong opposition in the longer white-ball format.
Tasmania and South Australia compete in Australia's domestic cricket structure and have access to players with first-class and professional limited-overs experience. New Zealand A, meanwhile, provides a pathway for players competing for places in New Zealand's senior side.
The matches follow Nepal A's participation in the Top End T20 Series in Darwin, where the team competed against Australian state academies and other development sides.
Moving from the 20-over format to 50-over cricket will present a different challenge. Nepal A's batters will be required to construct longer innings, while the bowlers must manage ten-over spells and adapt across the different phases of a one-day match.
