Nepal delivered a commanding all-round display to register a staggering 370-run win over Indonesia in the ACC Men's U16 East Zone Cup 2025, held at Selangor Turf Club.
Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, Indonesia found themselves on the receiving end of Nepal's batting onslaught.
Nepal amassed a mammoth 420 for 5 in 50 overs, powered by a superb century from Prashiddha Jaishi, who crafted a fluent 132 from 114 balls to claim the Player of the Match honours. He was ably supported by wicketkeeper Parimarjan Yadav, who smashed a rapid 71 off just 28 balls, and Raunak Srivastav, who added a valuable 88 off 71.
Later in the innings, Joy Thapa (57 from 41) and an unbeaten 39 from 34 balls by Sugam Budhathoki helped propel Nepal to an imposing total. Among Indonesia’s bowlers, I Ketut Darma Putra P stood out with two wickets.
Chasing a monumental target, Indonesia faltered under pressure and were bowled out for just 50 runs in 24.3 overs. Kavin Neeraj Chadda was the only batter to reach double figures, scoring 15.
Nepal's bowlers, led by captain Bipin Prasad Sharma, were ruthless. Sharma produced a match-winning spell, taking 6 wickets for only 12 runs in 7.3 overs.
He received support from Sugam Budhathoki and Shubham Khanal, who claimed a wicket apiece, sealing Indonesia’s collapse.
