Batting first, Nepal posted 139/9 in 20 overs on a tricky surface. The innings was anchored by Kushal Malla (29 off 22) and Dipendra Singh Airee (27 off 28), while Lokesh Bam (24 off 16) and Bhim Sharki (17) added vital runs down the order. Despite regular breakthroughs by the Renegades bowlers, Nepal managed to push the score beyond 130, giving their bowlers a competitive total to defend.
In reply, the Renegades never settled, undone by a relentless Nepalese attack. Sompal Kami was the chief destroyer, producing a fiery spell of 5 for 17 in 4 overs. His pace and control ripped through the middle order, leaving the Renegades reeling.
