Nepal are set to host the United Arab Emirates in a two-match T20I series later this month in what will be a landmark moment for cricket in the country.
The matches are scheduled for April 20 and April 21, 2026 at Tribhuvan University (TU) International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. Both games are set to begin at 5 pm and will mark Nepal's first home internationals under floodlights.
The series adds another chapter to Nepal's rivalry with the UAE, often billed by fans as the "El Clásico" of Associate cricket. The two T20Is will also serve as Nepal's final tune-up before the return of ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 action in Kathmandu.
According to Cricnepal's report, Nepal, UAE and Oman will play the first six-match League 2 tri-series from April 25 to May 5 at TU. Nepal are scheduled to face UAE on April 25 and May 1, and Oman on April 29 and May 5.
A second League 2 window will then follow from May 12 to May 22, featuring Nepal, Scotland and the USA. Nepal are scheduled to meet Scotland on May 12 and May 18, and the USA on May 16 and May 22.
The home schedule gives Nepal a busy and important stretch on familiar ground. But before the 50-over campaign resumes, the immediate spotlight will fall on the floodlit T20I series against the UAE and a piece of home cricket history.
