Kathmandu — Nepal made it two wins from two at the ACC Women's U19 Premier Cup 2026, thrashing Singapore by 151 runs at the YSD-UKM Cricket Oval, Bangi, on Sunday, with Sana Praveen's unbeaten 98 earning her the Player of the Match award.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, Nepal produced a flawless innings — 199 without loss in their 20 overs, an unbroken 199-run opening stand between Praveen and Sabitri Dhami. Praveen finished two short of a century, her 98 off 70 balls coming at a strike rate of 140.00, while Dhami was even quicker, an unbeaten 78 off 53 at 147.17. The pair struck 13 fours apiece — 26 boundaries in all — as Nepal scored at nearly ten an over.
Singapore's chase of 200 never got moving. Manisha Upadhayay and Anu Kadayat reduced them to 7 for 3 inside four overs, and the innings crawled to 48 for 8 from the full 20 — a run rate of 2.40.
Kadayat led the attack with 3 for 4 from her four overs at an economy of 1.00, while Upadhayay (2 for 9) and Riya Sharma (2 for 10) offered nothing either. Sony Pakhrin chipped in with a wicket, and Rachana Kumari Chaudhary, Saturday's match-winner against Qatar, bowled two maidens in a wicketless but miserly 4-0-5-0.
Ankitha Varsha Raj top-scored for Singapore with 19 off 49 balls, the only batter to pass single figures as Nepal's bowlers squeezed throughout.
The win follows Saturday's 105-run defeat of Qatar, leaving Nepal unbeaten at the top of their group. They next face Hong Kong at the Bayuemas Oval, Kuala Lumpur, on Tuesday, 14 July.
