Pokhara Avengers announce retained players for Nepal Premier League season 2

Pokhara Avengers have unveiled their list of retained players for the season 2 of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), keeping faith in a young and promising core despite a disappointing campaign last year.

Leading the squad once again will be captain and marquee player Kushal Bhurtel, who has been confirmed to continue in his leadership role. The Avengers have retained a total of seven players.

Among those retained are exciting young talents Aakash Chand and Trit Raj Das. Left-arm spinner Bipin Khatri also remains with the side, as does Kiran Thagunna, who recently made his T20I debut for Nepal. The team has also opted to retain southpaw Dinesh Kharel, who was one of the standout performers for Pokhara in season 1.

However, the franchise has decided to release Narayan Joshi, Dilip Nath, Amrit Gurung, and Sunam Gautam from the squad as they look to refresh the team dynamics.

The Avengers had a challenging outing in the inaugural season of the NPL, finishing second from the bottom with only two victories.
