Birgung - Armed Police Force Club (APF) secured a convincing seven wicket victory over Sudurpaschim on Wednesday at the TB Shah Cricket Ground in Birgunj, finishing at the top of the group while securing place in the tournament's semi-finals.
Winning the toss, Sudurpaschim chose to bat first but struggled against APF's bowling attack. Sabnam Rai claimed two wickets, while Rajmati Airee added one to keep the pressure on the batting side.
Sita Rana Magar starred with the ball, taking two wickets in a single over, including the dismissal of Rabina Dhami for a duck.
Karuna Bista top scored for Sudurpaschim with 14 runs from 22 deliveries. Bindu Rawal contributed 8 runs off 16 balls, Ritu Kanojiya added 6 runs from 14 deliveries, while Sunita Saud contributed 6 runs from just two balls.
In reply, APF comfortably chased down the 68 run target with seven wickets in hand. Indu Barma scored an impressive 25 runs off 28 deliveries, while captain Sita Rana Magar remained unbeaten on 29 from just 18 balls .
Despite Anu Kadayat's three wicket haul, APF secured a comfortable seven wicket victory.
Sita Rana Magar was named Player of the Match For her outstanding all round performance, taking two wickets and scoring 29 runs.
With this win, APF finished at the top of the group table and qualified for the semi-finals facing Lumbini on 26 June.
