Bipin Shahi's fighting half-century and a superb five-wicket haul from Dinesh Adhikari helped Karnali Province edge Koshi Province by 16 runs in Match 9 of the Men's PM Cup on March 25, 2026.
Asked to bat first, Karnali were under pressure early after slipping to 27 for 3, but Bipin Shahi held the innings together with a patient 63 off 98 balls. Bipin Rawal added 32, while Sunil Dhamala chipped in with a brisk 19, helping Karnali recover to 151 all out in 39.1 overs.
Koshi shared the wickets around effectively. Prem Kamat was the standout bowler with 4 for 31, while Gyanendra Shrestha picked up 3 for 30 and Sujan Thapaliya took two wickets. Despite those efforts, Bipin Shahi's resistance ensured Karnali had a defendable total on the board.
In reply, Koshi never found sustained momentum. Dipesh Kandel top-scored with 26, Shivash Baigain made 23 and Suman Shrestha added 20, but regular wickets kept pushing them back. Koshi were 57 for 3, then 103 for 6, and eventually bowled out for 135 in 44.4 overs.
Adhikari led Karnali's charge with 5 for 27, while Diwan Pun and Prakash Jaishi claimed two wickets each. Dipendra Rawat also chipped in with one wicket as Karnali completed a hard-fought win.
The victory was built on Bipin Shahi's composure with the bat and Adhikari's decisive spell with the ball, as Karnali held their nerve in a low-scoring contest.
