Bishal Patel's five-wicket haul powered Madhesh Province to a 25-run win over Lumbini Province in a low-scoring Match 13 of the Men's PM Cup.
Batting first, Madhesh never fully settled and were dismissed for 124 in 38.1 overs. Mayan Yadav top-scored with 31, while Mohammad Aadil Alam made 23 and Pawan Sarraf added 19, but no batter was able to produce the substantial innings needed to take the total beyond a modest mark.
Lumbini's bowlers kept the pressure on throughout. Sandesh Thapa struck three times, Santosh Yadav also claimed three wickets, and Ajay Chauhan picked up two as Madhesh slipped from 54 for 2 to 124 all out. Nirmal Gurung's economical spell also played a key supporting role.
But Lumbini's chase collapsed even more dramatically. They lost five wickets inside the powerplay and were never able to recover from the early damage. Sumit Shrestha fought with 30, while Sandesh Thapa contributed 16 and Santosh Yadav made 12, but the rest of the batting line-up struggled badly.
Patel led Madhesh's charge with a superb 5 for 24 in nine overs. Pradip Paswan took 2 for 13, while Rupesh Singh, Mohammad Aadil Alam and Aashik Baitha chipped in with one wicket each as Lumbini were bowled out for 99 in 26 overs.
