Nepal Police Club produced a commanding all-round display to thrash Nepal Armed Police Force Club (APF) by 185 runs in Match 8 of the Men's PM Cup at Mulpani Cricket Ground on March 24, 2026.
Asked to bat first, Nepal Police recovered from the early loss of Kushal Bhurtel through a fluent second-wicket stand of 92 runs between Dinesh Kharel and Amit Shrestha. Dinesh was dismissed for a duck in first match, however, he struck 60 off 52 balls, while Amit contributed 39, helping Police race past 100 inside 17 overs.
The innings kept gathering pace through the middle overs. Rashid Khan made 44, Shankar Rana blasted 61 off 54 balls, and captain Aarif Sheikh added a quickfire 50 off 42. Dilsad Ali then finished the innings in style with an unbeaten 51 off just 30 balls, as Nepal Police closed on a formidable 355 for 9 from 50 overs.
APF's chase never truly took shape. Nandan Yadav resisted with an unbeaten 44 and Kamal Airee struck 35, but the rest of the batting line-up struggled against Nepal Police's disciplined attack. APF were reduced to 61 for 5 and later 124 for 8, leaving the lower order with too much to do.
Lalit Rajbanshi led the bowling effort with 3 for 28, while Karan KC, Rashid Khan and Dinesh Kharel took two wickets each. Sagar Dhakal also chipped in with one wicket as APF were bowled out for 170 in 44 overs.
Dinesh Kharel, who made 60 and took two wickets, was named Player of the Match after helping Nepal Police secure a comprehensive win.
