Hemant Dhami starred with the ball as Sudurpaschim Province defeated Karnali Province by four wickets in Match 6 of the Men's PM Cup at Narayani Cricket Ground, Birgunj, on March 23, 2026.
After opting to field first, Sudurpaschim made immediate inroads and never allowed Karnali to settle. Hemant Dhami was the standout performer, returning brilliant figures of 6 for 16 in seven overs as Karnali were bowled out for 119 in 32 overs. Ashok Dhami also applied pressure with 1 for 16, while Sher Malla, Narayan Joshi and Milan Bohara chipped in with a wicket each.
For Karnali, Bipin Rawal top-scored with 33 off 61 balls, while Sunil Dhamala made 28. But regular wickets kept interrupting any chance of a recovery, and only 22 extras helped push them past 100.
In reply, Sudurpaschim's chase was not entirely straightforward. Khadak Bohora made 23, Kiran Thagunna scored 26, and the middle order had to absorb a few setbacks as Karnali reduced them to 97 for 6. Diwan Pun and Anuj Chanara picked up two wickets each, while Dipendra Rawat and Prakash Jaishi also struck.
But Milan Bohara remained unbeaten on 18 and captain Sher Malla finished 10 not out to guide Sudurpaschim home at 122 for 6 in 29.2 overs, sealing a comfortable win with more than 20 overs to spare.
Hemant Dhami was named Player of the Match for his decisive spell that broke Karnali's innings open.
