Nepal posts record total of 420 runs in ACC Men's U16 East Zone Cup

Nepal U16 delivered a batting masterclass on Sunday, posting a record total of 420/5 against Indonesia U16 in their third match of the ACC Men’s U16 East Zone Cup. This is now the highest team total ever recorded by a Nepal side at any level of competitive cricket.

After being invited to bat first, Nepal came out with aggressive intent and never looked back. The innings got off to a fiery start thanks to Parimarjan Yadav, who hammered 71 runs off just 28 balls, setting the tone early with an explosive display.

Building on the strong foundation, Prasiddha Jaishi and Raunak Shrivastav took control of the middle overs. Jaisi led from the front with a magnificent 132 off 114 balls, hitting 15 boundaries and one six. He was well supported by Shrivastav, who added a fluent 88 from 71 balls, including 8 fours and 2 sixes.

Joy Thapa contributed a brisk 57 while Sugam Budhathoki chipped in with an unbeaten 39, pushing the total beyond the 400-run mark.
