Nepal Under-19 produced a dominant all-round performance to defeat Saudi Arabia Under-19 by eight wickets in Match 10 of the ACC Men's U19 Premier Cup 2025, overhauling a competitive 219-run target with 116 balls to spare.
Batting first, Saudi Arabia U19 finished on 218/9 in 50 overs, with Mohammad Zuber (48 off 76) and Mohammad Rehan (41 off 59) providing the backbone of the innings. They also received handy contributions from Majdi (25 off 14) early and Omair Wahab (39 off 37) during the late push.
Nepal's bowlers kept the scoring under control through the middle overs and struck at key moments. Captain Ashok Dhami returned 2/34 in 9 overs, while Sushil Rawal (1/27 in 7) and Cibrin Shrestha (1/27 in 10, including a maiden) maintained pressure. Saudi Arabia's momentum was also dented by multiple run-outs, including Wahab and captain Rayyan Khan.
In response, Nepal U19 came out with clear intent. Opener Vansh Chhetri smashed 30 off 20 balls, helping Nepal race to 63/1 in 5.5 overs before falling.
From there, the chase was owned by Niraj Kumar Yadav, who played a high-class innings of 114 off 90 balls (13 fours, 1 six), combining clean hitting with sharp placement. He was well supported by Nischal Kshetri's unbeaten 66 off 73 (5 fours, 1 six), and together they stitched a match-defining 155-run partnership that effectively ended the contest long before the finish line.
Nepal eventually completed the chase at 219/2 in 30.4 overs, sealing an emphatic eight-wicket victory.
