Basanta Shahi Thakuri is a former Nepalese cricketer. He is currently working as Coach for Nepal junior level and franchise teams.

Thakuri has served as the Assistant Coach for the Nepal National Cricket Team, including for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup journey in 2024. He is currently associated with the Kathmandu Gorkhas in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) as a coach. He has also coached at the grassroots level, including coaching the captain of the Nepal women's cricket team, Indu Barma, early in her career.
