President Ramchandra Paudel and Prime Minister Sushila Karki have extended congratulations to Lumbini Lions for winning the title of the Second Edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), 2025.
Taking to social media on Saturday, Prime Minister Karki congratulated the champions and praised the entire tournament ecosystem. In her message, she thanked all the participating teams, organisers and supporters for “infusing energy in the national self-pride” through the league.
Earlier, Lumbini Lions lifted the NPL Season 2 title by thrashing Sudurpaschim Royals in the final at Kirtipur. Sudurpaschim Royals finished as runners-up for the second consecutive edition, having also lost the inaugural final against Janakpur Bolts.
President Paudel also used social media (Facebook) to felicitate the new champions. "Congratulations to the winners, runners-up and the entire team for their passion, enthusiasm and dedication to sports. Special thanks also to the players, coaches, organisers and sports enthusiasts," the Head of State wrote, extending his best wishes to everyone involved in making the NPL a national cricketing spectacle.
