Reifer shines as Pokhara edge Biratnagar in thrilling Super Over finish

Pokhara Avengers edged out Biratnagar Kings in a dramatic Super Over to secure an empathic win in the Match 20 of the Nepal Premier League at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur,

Electing to bat first, Biratnagar posted a competitive total of 139 for 7 in their 20 overs. Wicketkeeper Scott Edwards anchored the innings with a solid 45 off 35 balls, while opener Lokesh Bam contributed a brisk 26 off 16 deliveries.

Raymon Reifer and Sagar Dhakal were the standout bowlers for Pokhara as both claimed two wickets each. Dhakal was economical giving away 15 runs in four overs.

Chasing 140, Pokhara's innings mirrored their opponents, finishing at 139 for 6, which led to a Super Over. Andries Gous top-scored with 39 off 27 balls, and captain Kushal Bhurtel added 31 off 34.

Pratis GC was exceptional with the ball for Biratnagar, taking 4 wickets for 18 runs.

In the Super Over, Raymon Reifer showcased his all-round prowess, scoring 17 runs off 5 balls, including two towering sixes and a four, against Sandeep Lamichhane to set a target of 19 for Biratnagar.

Biratnagar's chase faltered, managing only 5 runs, handing Pokhara a hard-fought victory. Reifer was once again outstanding with his super over bowling giving away four singles and a wide run.
