Shankar Rana's commanding century led Nepal Police Club to a seven-wicket win over Bagmati Province in Match 12 after a polished chase of 266.
Bagmati posted 265 all out in 49.2 overs after being sent in, with Ishan Pandey making 70 off 80 balls and Pawan Thapa contributing 79 off 101. The pair added 124 runs for the fourth wicket and helped Bagmati recover from 71 for 3 to build a competitive total. Ashutosh Ghiraiya also gave them early momentum with 22 off 15.
Nepal Police's bowlers kept chipping away despite that partnership. Rashid Khan and Dinesh Kharel picked up three wickets each, while Karan KC claimed two. Bagmati lost wickets in the final overs and could not fully cash in on the platform created by Pandey and Pawan.
In reply, Nepal Police made the chase look straightforward through a dominant opening stand between Dinesh and Shankar. They put on 159 for the first wicket, breaking the back of the target inside 25 overs. Dinesh made 70 off 75 balls, while Shankar anchored the innings superbly with 116 off 128, hitting 13 fours and four sixes.
Although Nepal Police lost Dinesh, Dilsad Ali and eventually Shankar late in the innings, the result was never seriously in doubt. Captain Aarif Sheikh remained unbeaten on 43, and Rashid Khan finished 10 not out as Nepal Police reached 271 for 3 in 44 overs.
