The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced a 15-member Nepal A squad for the All India Gold Cup Cricket Tournament in Uttarakhand, India, with Anil Sah named captain.
The 42nd edition of the Gold Cup began on May 22 and features 31 matches across four phases, including the group stage, quarterfinals, semifinals and final.
Nepal A will open their campaign against Kerala on May 30. They will then face Goa on May 31 and Odisha on June 2. The quarterfinals are scheduled for June 4, the semifinals for June 6 and the final for June 7.
The squad includes several players with senior national-team experience and Nepal A exposure. Dev Khanal, Pawan Sarraf, Lalit Rajbanshi, Basir Ahmad, Rashid Khan, Arjun Kumal, Aakash Chand and Hemant Dhami are among the notable names selected.
The tournament will give Nepal A another competitive platform to test their bench strength against Indian domestic and institutional sides.
