Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has published its 2026 Cricket Calendar, presenting a full-year blueprint for Nepal cricket across international and domestic competitions. The schedule includes major ICC and ACC events, two key ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 (CWCL2) windows, women’s and youth tours, as well as a domestic season featuring the PM Cup structure, the National T20 Championship and the Nepal Premier League (NPL).
The international year begins with a significant home assignment in January, where Nepal is set to host the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers. February highlights the global stage with the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 in India, alongside a Women's Premiere Cup*.
A major focus of the calendar is CWCL2. CAN has listed a home CWCL2 tri-series in March involving Nepal, Oman and UAE (Mar 10–25), followed by another home window in May featuring Nepal, USA and Scotland (May 5–18). The March block also includes a men’s bilateral series in Nepal, a women’s bilateral series, and a U19 women’s tour to Bhutan, reflecting a busy early-year schedule across multiple programs.
The calendar continues with a strong mid-year stretch. June includes a men’s T20 bilateral series at home (Jun 1–15), the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in the UK, and a U19 women’s tour to Malaysia. July lists CWCL2 fixtures in the Netherlands (NEP, NED, NAM | Jul 15–30) and also features the Women’s Asia Cup and the ACC Men’s U16 East Zone Cup.
August appears packed with opportunities, including the ACC Premier Cup (Proposed), a men’s bilateral series vs Kuwait (Proposed), the Top End Series in Australia (Proposed) and the ACC Men’s U19 Premier Cup (Proposed). The final quarter includes a men’s bilateral series away in September, plus a women’s bilateral series vs UAE. In October, Nepal is slated for another CWCL2 window in Oman (NEP, CAN, OMA), with the Nepal Premier League (Oct–Nov) and a women’s international tri-series also listed for the same period. The year concludes with a men’s international series (Home/Away) and a women’s international series (Home/Away) in December.
On the domestic front, CAN’s calendar outlines a structured pathway beginning in January with Men’s PM Cup District (Jan 5–25) and Men’s PM Cup Province (Jan 25–Feb 10). The provincial phase continues into February, along with Jay Trophy (Feb 12–22) and the National School Championship (District). March–April includes the Men’s PM Cup National (Mar 28–Apr 22), National School Championship (Province), and Women’s PM Cup District.
The mid-year domestic schedule features the Wai Wai Men’s U19 National Cricket Tournament (District/Province), Women’s PM Cup Province, Women’s PM Cup National (May 2–20), and the CAN Youth Cup, followed by the National T20 Championship (Jun 15–25). CAN has also scheduled development programs including Level 1 coaching courses across seven provinces, a Level 2 coaching course, a Pitch Curator course, and a Level 1 umpiring course.
Later in the year, September lists the Girls U19 National Championship and a Women’s longer-format competition* spanning September–October. The domestic season peaks in October–November with the Nepal Premier League, while regional tournaments are scheduled through December.
