Nepal have called a 30-player camp for the ICC Women's Challenge Trophy, with a mix of established national-team names and emerging players included in the preliminary group.
Based on the camp graphic shared by CAN, experienced players such as Indu Barma, Puja Mahato, Rubina Chhetry, Sita Rana Magar, Bindu Rawal and Kabita Joshi are among those named. The camp also includes younger prospects including Riya Sharma, Khushi Dangol, Yashoda Bist and Trishna BK as Nepal begin preparations for the new ICC event.
Nepal are set to represent Asia in the inaugural ICC Women's Challenge Trophy. According to a Czarsportz report, Rwanda will host the tournament from April 12 to May 2, 2026, with the competition forming part of a new three-tier development pathway for emerging women's teams.
The Challenge Trophy will feature one team each from the five ICC development regions that are not part of the Emerging Nations Trophy. Nepal are expected to compete alongside USA, Italy, Vanuatu and hosts Rwanda.
For Nepal, the camp appears to be an early step in narrowing down the squad for a tournament that could offer valuable international exposure as the women's team looks to build depth and consistency. That is an inference from the camp announcement and tournament structure reported so far.
