Nepal Women wrapped up their tour of Malaysia in style, defeating the hosts by five wickets in the fifth and final T20I to seal the five-match series 3–2 at Bayuemas Oval.
After restricting Malaysia Women to 103/7, Nepal chased down the target in 18 overs, led by a brilliant bowling performance from Rajmati Airee, who was named Player of the Match for her decisive spell of 3/15.
Electing to bat first, Malaysia got off to a steady start through Winifred Duraisingam (40 off 46) and Mahirah Izzati Ismail (19 off 18), but Nepal's bowlers kept striking at crucial intervals.
Rajmati Airee's three-wicket burst derailed Malaysia's middle order, while Kabita Kunwar complemented her with another tight spell of 3/16 from four overs. Their combined effort limited the hosts to a modest total of 103/7.
In reply, Nepal Women approached the chase confidently. Rubi Poddar (26 off 25) and Puja Mahato (23 off 24) anchored the innings with steady partnerships as Nepal maintained control throughout.
Despite a few hiccups, the visitors crossed the finish line comfortably at 104/5 in 18 overs, with 12 balls to spare.
The win marked Nepal's first T20I series triumph of the 2025–26 season and capped off a strong collective showing from the squad.
Airee's player-of-the-match performance was a fitting conclusion to the campaign, which also saw standout displays from Kabita Kunwar, Indu Barma, and Rubi Poddar during the series.
Nepal will now look to carry this momentum into upcoming international fixtures as they continue to climb the ICC Women's T20I rankings.
